
Ingredients
1 cup sabudana (sago), soaked
1 large potato, boiled
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp ginger, grated
1 tsp red chili powder
10 leaves curry leaves
1 medium green chili, chopped
½ cup peanuts, crushed and roasted
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
coriander to garnish
Ingredients
This is the list of ingredients for sabudana khichadi.

Soak the sabudana in water for half an hour. Drain the water and lay out the sabudana on a large flat surface. Sprinkle with water on top and leave it overnight.

In a large pan, on a medium high heat, add the oil, jeera, ginger, green chilies and curry leaves and sauté for a couple of minutes.

Add the boiled potatoes and cook them till coated completely and they turn a little brown.


Next, add the peanuts and mix to coat completely. Then, add the salt and red chili powder and cook for a minute.

Add the sabuada and cook for 2–3 minutes till coated completely.

Finally, add the lemon juice and sugar, mix, and take it off the heat.

Sprinkle chopped coriander on top and serve hot.

Notes
- If you do not have curry leaves, ginger, red chili powder while fasting, just omit these out.
- White salt can be substituted with pink salt, according to taste.
