
Ingredients (for the cupcakes)
465 gms plain flour
240 gms milk
3 eggs
240 gms caster sugar
24 gms baking powder
240 gms sunflower oil
zest of 2 oranges
Ingredients (for the glaze)
4 tbsp confectioners sugar
1 tsp orange juice
zest of 1 orange
Method
This is a list of ingredients.


To a bowl, add the eggs.


Beat the eggs, till they double in size. You would need to beat them for at least 8 – 10 minutes.

To that, add the sugar.

Beat the sugar with the eggs.

Next, add the oil.

Beat it in.

To the bowl with the flour, add the baking soda and mix it in.

Add this dry mixture to the wet mixture.

Next, add the milk.

Beat everything in.

Finally, add the orange zest.

And mix it in with the spatula.

Grease and flour a cupcake liner. You can also use cupcake moulds.

Fill it halfway with the mixture. Do not fill more than halfway through, since this cake batter will rise a lot.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 18 – 20 minutes, or till a toothpick inserted inside comes out clean.

These are the ingredients for the orange sugar glaze.

To the confectioners sugar, add the orange juice.

Mix it in till it forms a runny liquid.

Add this glaze on to the cupcakes.



Finally, sprinkle the orange zest on top.

Serve fresh.


These cupcakes stay at room temperature for up to 3 days, and for up to a week when refrigerated.
