
Ingredients (for the dough)
250gms plain flour
1tsp salt
88gms ghee
150ml water
Ingredients (for the stuffing)
1 cup green peas, crushed
1 cup onions, chopped fine
2 tbsp vegetable oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
salt, to taste
Method
This is the list of ingredients for the dough.

To a bowl, add the flour.

Then, add the salt.

Next, add the oil.

And give it a good mix.

Finally, add the water.


And knead the dough till it is very soft and pliable.

This is how it should look like when done.

These are the ingredients for the filling.


To a pan, add ghee.

Then, add the cumin seeds and sauté for a minute.

Next, add the onions and sauté for a few minutes.

Then, add the ginger.

Add the salt.

Add the red chili powder.

Then, add the turmeric.

Add the cumin powder.

Then, add the coriander powder.

Add the chaat masala.

Then, add the garam masala.

Next, add the coriander seeds.

Add the water and let the onions cook completely.


Add the peas.

And cook the peas till done.

Take it off the heat, sprinkle with chopped coriander on top and give it a good mix.

Transfer the filling mixture onto a plate and let it cool down completely.

These are the ingredients to make the slurry.

Mix both the flours together.

Add the water and mix it in completely.


Take out the dough onto your work surface.

Cut it into half.

Take a little dough and form it into a circle.

With your palms flatten it out to look like this.

Take a little filling and out it in the center of the dough.


Apply the slurry mixture on all sides.


And fold the dough from all sides so that the filling is covered completely.


Do the same for the remaining dough and mixture.

Gently, drop the balls in cold oil, then put it on the heat and cook them till they turn golden. Drain them onto a kitchen towel.

Serve hot.
