
Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup rice flour
1 cup semolina
2tsp oil, hot (extra for greasing and deep frying)
½ cup water, warm
1 tbsp sesame seeds
¼tsp carom seeds
½tsp red chili flakes
salt, to taste
Method
This is a list of ingredients.


To a bowl, add the all purpose flour.

Next, add the rice flour.

Then, add the semolina.

Add the carom seeds.

Next, add the sesame seeds.

Then, add the chili flakes.

Add the salt.

And finally, add the hot oil.

Mix everything in and knead to make a dough.


Cover the dough with a cloth till you assemble the chakli maker.

For the chakli’s, use the chakli maker with a star in the center.

Take a little dough with your greased hands, and flatten a little to give it the shape of the chakli maker.

Add this dough to the greased chakli maker.

Firmly press it down and close the lid on top.

Press it down onto a greased plate and twist the handle to get the desired shape.



Cut out the end part with a knife.

Do the same for the remaining mixture.

Heat the oil and very carefully, place the chakli’s into the hot oil.

Once they have browned on both sides, remove them out onto a plate.

Let them cool and store in an airtight container for up to a few weeks.
