Method
This is a list of ingredients for the cake.

To a bowl, add the sugar.

Then, add the butter.

Beat the sugar and butter till thick and fluffy.

Next, add the eggs.

Beat them with the butter and sugar mixture.

To the buttermilk, add the vanilla and set aside.

Sieve in the flour.

Then, add the baking soda.

Next, add the salt.

Add the cocoa powder and sieve in all the dry ingredients.

Finally, add the buttermilk and vanilla.

Gently, mix everything together and set aside.

Butter and flour a cake tin. You can also line the cake tin with parchment paper.

Pour one-third of the batter in the cake tin.

And bake in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or till a toothpick inserted inside the cake comes out clean.

Do the same for the remaining batter, and let the cakes cool down completely.

Gently, remove the cakes and transfer onto a plate.

These are the ingredients for the chocolate ganache.

Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave.

Let the chocolate cool down, and add the heavy cream to it.

Mix the heavy cream and the melted chocolate.

Pour a little of the ganache on to one cake.

With a spatula, spread it out evenly on the top.

Gently, put the second cake on the first and repeat the process with the chocolate ganache.

Cover the entire cake with ganache and chill the cake for at least an hour.

I levelled the cakes, and mixed the leftover ganache with the cake crumbs and made chocolate balls.
I also melted white chocolate chips and dipped half the balls in them. Freeze these for at least half an hour before using.

Top the cake with the chocolate balls, white chocolate balls and ferrero rochers.

Refrigerate the cake for up to 3-4 days and it stays fresh.
