Mini Idli’s

Ingredients

2cups par boiled idli dosa rice

1cup +2tbsp split urad dal

1tsp fenugreek seeds

water, to steam the idlis

salt, as needed (optional)

Method

This is the list of ingredients.

Mix the dal and the rice together in a bowl.

Wash it a few times with water and soak it overnight.

In the morning, add them to the grinder.

Add the fenugreek seeds.

And grind into a smooth paste.

Take the mini idli moulds.

Grease them with a little oil.

Fill the moulds with the idli batter right up to the top.

Place them in a idli steamer with water at the bottom.

Close the lid and steam the idli’s till done. This should take about 10-15 minutes.

This is how they look like when done.

With a spoon, carefully remove out each idli.

Store them in an airtight box in the refrigerator for up to a few days.

Serve hot with chutney.
