Peshawari Chicken Seekh Kebab

Succulent kebabs made with minced chicken and indian spices, and cooked in an oven.

Ingredients

For the marination

  • 250 gms chicken, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp corn flour
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • a bunch of coriander, chopped fine

To Cook

  • oil, to brush on top

Method

Step 1: To Marinate The Chicken

(1) To a bowl, add the minced chicken. 

(2) Then, add the ginger, garlic, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, chaat masala, corn flour, onion, and coriander, and mix everything together. 

(3) Let it marinate for 1-2 hours.

Step2: To Assemble The Chicken Kebabs

(4) Onto one skewer, take a little chicken, form a ball, and flatten it a little.

(5) Add it on to the top of a skewer, and flatten it out so that it covers almost ¾ of the skewer.

(6) Do the same for the remaining chicken. 

Step3: To Cook

(7) Brush oil on top and cook in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes, or till the chicken has been cooked through. 

Step4: To Serve

(8) Layer on a serving dish and serve hot with any of your favourite Dips.

Method (Step by Step) 

This is a list of ingredients.

Add the masalas and cornflour. 

Next, add the onions.

Finally, add the coriander.

And mix everything together.

Take your skewers.

Take a little chicken, form a ball, and flatten it a little.

Add it on to the top of a skewer.

And flatten it out so that it covers almost ¾ of the skewer.

Do the same for the remaining chicken. 

Brush oil on top and cook in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes, or till the chicken has been cooked through. 

Layer on a serving dish and serve hot.

The chicken can be served with any of your favourite Dips.
